Little Ágoston Tóth-Helli was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia at just 3.5 months old. While childhood leukemias are often treatable, his illness was caused by a rare gene mutation (CBFA2T3::GLIS2) that affects only a few children worldwide each year (exclusively under the age of 2), with a survival rate of just 15-20% without immunotherapy. Doctors in Hungary have provided the best available chemotherapy tailored to his case, but unfortunately, it has not led to remission. The current plan is an experimental drug, which may only prolong his life by a few years. Sadly, there are no further treatment options in Hungary—only immunotherapy available in the USA can save his life. While the drug itself is provided by the manufacturer, the hospital treatment costs must be covered by the family—amounting to nearly 500 million HUF. She succeeds Michael Zink, who continues his career within Bosch in Germany. 🔹 Kathrin brings extensive international experience in the automotive and electronics manufacturing sectors, having held leadership roles in Spain, Portugal, and Germany. 🔹 She started her Bosch journey in 1996 as a quality engineer and has since gained expertise in quality management, production technology, and purchasing. 🔹 Before her new role, she served as Head of Global Quality Management at BSH Bosch Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH. 💡 With a strong focus on manufacturing excellence, high-quality production, and efficiency, Kathrin is committed to driving innovation and operational stability at our sites.
