Welcoming the the Ethiopian and Global Power to You(th) teams to Jakarta for Country Exchange! 🇮🇩
Day One of the PTY Country Exchange Learning in Jakarta has been an extraordinary beginning to a week filled with promise and inspiration! 🎉 YGSI is delighted to host our friends from Ethiopia and the Global PTY team, welcoming them to both Jakarta and Garut. Together, we’ve already begun sharing insights and strategies that will enhance our collective impact, as if we’re exchanging our most treasured recipes for success, each one ready to be adapted and perfected in our own settings. Here’s a glimpse of our day:
🔹 A Warm Welcome & Shared Vision: YGSI, as the proud host, started the day with heartfelt welcomes, extending our warm Indonesian hospitality to our guests. We were honored by the presence of representatives from the Indonesia Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, as well as the Ministry of Religious Affairs, who shared inspiring messages that set the stage for a week of meaningful collaboration and learning.
🔹 Exploring PTY Structures: Both the Ethiopian and Indonesian teams presented their PTY structures and governance models, sparking deep discussions on how we can strengthen collaboration, drive innovation, and better serve our communities within the PTY framework.
🔹 Ethiopia’s Inspiring Journey: Our Ethiopian colleagues took us on a visual journey through their implementation experiences, sharing strategies that have led to success, best practices, and the challenges they’ve faced. The Q&A session that followed was filled with curiosity and mutual exchange of wisdom.
🔹 Indonesia’s Innovative Approach: The Indonesian team shared unique insights into our approaches and implementation strategies, offering fresh ideas that could reshape how challenges are addressed across the PTY network.
🔹 Spotlight on Small Grants: Both teams highlighted their small grants initiatives, sharing stories of success and the hurdles they’ve encountered. Engaging directly with the grantees added a rich, practical perspective to our discussions, making this exchange even more valuable.
We’re excited to continue this journey of learning, growing, and creating lasting change together. The week ahead is full of promise, and we can’t wait to see where it takes us!
