ALG advised Turkish building materials group Çimsa, a subsidiary of Sabanci Holding on the acquisition of Mannok Holdings, in a deal worth €330m. Mannok Holdings is a building materials and packaging group headquartered in Co Fermanagh, which employs 800 people. This deal follows acquisitions for Çimsa in Spain and the US as it expands its footprint in markets that our critical for their growth. The arrival of Çimsa in Ireland is expected to bring external expertise and solutions to address the challenges being faced by the building and construction industry in Ireland. This was the largest insurance sector M&A transaction in the Irish market in 2023. Thanks to the huge efforts of a multi-disciplinary team in ALG, we achieved a successful sale for our client within an extremely tight timeline - the deal proceeded from preferred bidder selection to signing of an SPA in less than one week."
