Breaking ground on our solar farms in Ireland! 🚜 👷♂️ Construction has officially begun on our two new 6.4MW solar farms in Ireland! Once completed, these projects will generate enough renewable electricity to power over 1,200 homes every year, benefiting local communities across the region. These solar farms are a key step towards achieving ENGIE’s ambitious 80GW renewables capacity target by 2030. As part of our commitment to championing the energy transition, we’re proud to be making strides in solar power — a vital part of our renewable energy strategy. The projects, located in Dromsallagh, County Limerick, and Ardnadoman, just north of Loughrea, will make a significant positive impact on local communities. 🌟 Exciting News from our EIIS portfolio company, Astatine Ltd! 🌞 Astatine, has been selected by international energy provider Engie to construct three new solar farms in Ireland next year! Located in Galway and Limerick, these projects will collectively deliver an 18-megawatt peak (MWp) capacity—enough to power 4,100 homes with clean, renewable energy. These solar farms, awarded under the Renewable Energy Support Scheme (RESS), mark a significant step towards Ireland’s decarbonisation goals. Construction begins in January, and commissioning is expected later in the year. Congratulations to Astatine and their partner, TLI Group, for leading the charge in advancing Ireland’s renewable energy future.
