🎉 We are delighted to announce the renewal of our partnership of the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, extending our title sponsorship of this iconic theatre for another 10 years! 🎭 Since 2012, this sponsorship has enabled the theatre to stage over 3,500 spectacular performances of more than 460 shows - bringing the best from the West End and Broadway, as well showcasing the best of Irish productions, to Irish audiences. This renewed partnership means even more exclusive rewards for our Rewards Club customers, including discounted tickets, seat upgrades, and early access to events. Shine A Light 11 October - Sleep out or donate. We've been supporting Focus Ireland in their fight against family homelessness for nearly 10 years now, donating €4.4 million and contributing thousands of volunteer hours. Each year, we join the annual Shine A Light sleep out to raise awareness of family homelessness. Conor Roe, Head of Advice and Information and Day Services at Focus Ireland, talks about the vital role of the Focus Ireland Coffee Shop in Temple Bar. For almost 40 years this coffee shop has been the first point of contact to access homeless services and in 2023 alone it supported over 5,500 people. With family homelessness at a record high - over 2,000 families are currently in emergency accommodation - we urge you, your colleagues and your network to participate this year. Meet Andy Nason, Head of IT Service & Infrastructure, and Chair of the Bord Gáis Energy Carer’s Network. 💬 About me: I'm married to Orlaith, a parent of three boys and a daughter with intellectual and physical disabilities requiring full time care. I've worked in IT since the mid 90s and while I really enjoy my job the thing that keeps me here is working with great people who are focused on improving the culture within our company. Favourite things: I love to keep fit and am a keen runner and cyclist. Downtime consists of family walks, being the family taxi driver and supporting the kids with all thing's athletics, soccer and GAA. What does D,E&I in the Workplace mean to me: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is important in all aspects of life. In Ireland our population and workforce are constantly changing, and we all have a role to play in creating an inclusive society. It's important that we respect individuals, understand their ethnic background, value their abilities and we encourage people to be open at work. We're at our best when we work as one team and respect every team member for their contributions. In 2023 we set up the Carer's Network and I'm proud to be the Chair of the Bord Gáis Energy Carer's Network. The Carer's Network consists of advocates and people with firsthand caring responsibilities who understand the challenges faced when balancing caring duties with holding down a full-time role. We offer carer's leave to colleagues with caring duties for seriously sick, elderly or a disabled partner, family member or near relative. Our goal is to support carers while keeping them in the workforce. For People Managers, the Carer's Network has enabled them to have more open conversations with their teams and to adjust workloads accordingly. We can all become a carer at any stage in our lifetime and it's a huge benefit having the Carer's Network in place to support our colleagues on that journey.
