Today, Coolmine officially launched its Annual Report for 2023. We were honoured to have Bernard Gloster, CEO of the HSE as the key speaker at the event. We also heard from Coolmine’s own CEO, Pauline McKeown, and the Chairman of our board John Gleeson as they laid out the fantastic strides that Coolmine has made in the past year, but also the challenges that lay ahead. The latest annual report provides a comprehensive overview of Coolmine’s growing impact and also reveals an urgent and ongoing need for public support to help vulnerable individuals and families affected by addiction. Perhaps, most rewardingly of all, we were honoured that Coolmine graduate Anna Handbury, shared her journey with us. Hearing about the progress that our clients have made as they navigate recovery is the reason why we continue striving to provide the best, evidence-based programmes that we possibly can. The Annual Report 2023 is available to download on our website at: https://lnkd.in/diXUyHkz #Coolmine #AnnualReport2023 #RecoveryIsPossible #OvercomingAddiciton

If you’ve had the opportunity to catch the latest National Lottery Good Causes ad campaign, you may recognise a familiar face. Our very own Residential Services Manager, Tom Kearns, steals the show making an appearance as Coolmine’s representative. We are honoured to have been asked to be part of this campaign and would like to thank The National Lottery for nominating us as one of their ‘Good Causes’. Great supporters like the National Lottery are vital for raising awareness for our work and services and make a positive difference in the community. Watch the ad above or keep an eye on your screens over the next 5 weeks to catch a glimpse of Tom in action. #YouMadeThisPossible #RecoveryIsPossible #NationalLotteryGoodCauses #Coolmine

Last week, Colm Burke TD Minister of State with responsibility for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy paid a visit to Coolmine’s Cork North City Hub to meet with the staff and client coordinator. It was a pleasure to receive the minister and a great opportunity to showcase all the hard work and the fantastic service available to people in the community. Coolmine Cork North City offers a range of quality evidence based services to support individuals and families impacted by drug and alcohol use. We provide assessment, individual and group support, a cocaine specific programme, community outreach, family support, and aftercare among other programmes. Collaboration across governmental departments is essential in addressing drug misuse, homelessness, and mental health issues. Coolmine recognises the importance of this collaboration and openly invites all relevant departments to visit our facilities, witness our work first-hand, and engage in discussions on how we can collectively tackle these pressing issues. #CoolmineSouthWest #PoweringRecovery #NationalDrugStrategy #EvidenceBasedServices
