Our senior marine consultant Donna Van Damme was braving the #Lowestoft rain yesterday, to carry out a VEP (Vessel Entry Procedure) on the Farra Eithne. It’s a brand new vessel, only delivered to Farra Marine Limited earlier this year. This will be her first charter on the East Anglia One windfarm and we were onboard as part of our ongoing marine assurance contract for ScottishPower Renewables. Donna tells us she got to see the vessel underway as they moved from her lay-by berth around to Waveney Dock to take water onboard. She also remarked the vessel is kept to a very good standard, saying Farra Marine is a very forward-thinking company who go over and above when it comes to certification and procedures. High praise indeed, Donna – and we hope you’ve dried out a little today.
