▶️ The TULCA Festival of Visual Arts opens today, running from 1-17 November. The Salvage Agency, curated by Michele Horrigan, explores the potential of art to impact contemporary ecology and environmental action. We wish them all the best on what we know will be another fantastic festival. Check out the full programme at www.tulca.ie.
▶️ As part of this year’s TULCA Festival, a new body of video work ‘A Collection of Disarticulated Bones’ by Ruth Clinton and Niamh Moriarty will be featured at Galway City Museum. Their work has toured in the US as part of the Digital Artist in Residence Exchange with our partners Centre for Creative Technologies @ University of Galway, Institute for Creativity, Arts and Technology, Virginia Tech, TULCA and Solas Nua Irish Arts Festival and will now feature at TULCA. ▶️ Today we announced with Galway International Arts Festival the awardees of the first round of Elevate bursaries. Congratulations to all the recipients - the applications in the first round were exceptional. Round 2 of the 2024 Open Call through is also now open. The deadline is 27 November 2024. ▶️The EU opportunity we shared this week is the Creative Europe Culture Moves Europe Individual Mobility funding. It’s been open since August, but will close at the end of this month on 30 Nov. If you’re working in architecture, cultural heritage, design/fashion design, literature, music, performing or visual arts and want to develop your project abroad, this is for you! ▶️The inaugural Galway TradFest, a new initiative by our partners at Music Generation Galway County that we are proud to support, is fast approaching.
