Irish Exporters Association reposted this
This week, we joined Shannon Foynes Port and industry representatives at an Irish Exporters Association seminar to outline progress with and plans for the new Foynes Freight Line, set to open in early 2026. The rail link will bring sustainability to supply chain options, reducing road congestion and emissions. It creates efficient, faster, cost-effective supply chains for industries across the Mid-West and beyond. It supports local and national economic growth, through international trade. Iarnród Éireann Chief Executive Jim Meade gave an overview of the project to the event at Shannon Foynes Port, and is pictured with (pic 2) Port CEO Pat Keating, Diarmaid Byrnes of DHL, Kasia Steyn Rail Freight Business Development Manager; and (pic 3) Vicki Caplin Chief Operating Officer, Irish Exporters Association. #ShannonFoynesPort #SustainabilityInMotion #SustainableTransport #EconomicGrowth #GlobalTrade #GreenerFuture
