Our communities are the lifeblood of JLR, so, every year, we encourage colleagues to use two of their working days for volunteering, giving them the opportunity to make a meaningful and fulfilling impact on the world around us.     Three colleagues who have taken that opportunity are Luke Anthrobus, Leroy Christie, and Rosalinda Kwafo-Akoto (Ros). They have a combined 48 years of service at JLR and have been using their volunteering hours to make a difference in the lives of others.    For Luke and Leroy, they’ve ensured that over £10,000 donated by one of JLR’s charitable-giving schemes, Motorvate, has supported charities in the West Midlands. The duo has been instrumental in ensuring that the West Bromwich Afro-Caribbean Centre and the First Class Foundation charities received charitable funds provided by JLR. The donations have helped to ensure the safe operation of services, including providing CCTV and heating for hospitals and care homes.    Another colleague, Ros took her volunteering efforts overseas with the The Sutton Trust US Programme, helping UK state school students explore opportunities to attend college in the USA. Ros’s dedication extends beyond JLR’s volunteering scheme, since becoming a Team Leader in 2022, she has supported seven residentials, dedicating her time to guiding students through the application process and helping them unlock new opportunities for their futures.    These are just two fantastic examples of the great volunteering work our colleagues carry out to support our local communities using their paid volunteering days. #CSR #Volunteering #Charity #GivingBack

The entire JLR family is profoundly saddened by the death of Mr. Ratan Tata.   His personal achievements and legacy are unequalled in society, and the mark he leaves on our business and brands is greater than that of any other individual. Mr. Tata led us on an extraordinary journey. He inspired incredible new chapters in our history. Under his generous and trusting guidance, we have felt deeply proud to be part of the Tata story. https://lnkd.in/eb_s6EhC

As part of our #BlackHistoryMonth celebrations, this week we were delighted to welcome the Olympic, World, European, and Commonwealth champion Linford Christie to our JLR sites in the UK. Visiting our manufacturing teams in Halewood, Solihull, Castle Bromwich and our Electric Propulsion Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton, Linford met JLR colleagues from across the business to share his inspiring journey from humble beginnings to becoming an Olympic gold medallist. As a prominent Black athlete, he has acted as a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion. His presence and message reinforced JLR’s commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered. Linford spoke about a range of heartfelt topics and inspired colleagues to become even better allies. He also visited colleagues working on our new production lines and in our factories which have recently seen over £250million in investment. This is just one of several activities planned this #BlackHistoryMonth at JLR, giving everyone the opportunity to share, celebrate and understand the impact of Black heritage and culture. #JLR #BHM

Our strategic partnership with NVIDIA and development on the NVIDIA Omniverse platform is transforming the innovation and digitalisation of our manufacturing operations at #JLR. These pioneering technologies enable us to create virtual worlds (#DigitalTwins) that simulate our manufacturing plants, creating environments where we can test innovations and technologies prior to real-world application.    This week, our new Manufacturing Digital and Innovation graduates have been introduced to #NVIDIAOmniverse and its capabilities. As part of their graduate programme, they will be immersing themselves into the platform and Universal Scene Description (#OpenUSD) to test use cases connected with the likes of #robotics#3D applications and the integration of #AI – all integral components in the delivery of our #Reimagine strategy. This will help unlock more efficient operations across #manufacturing and ultimately contribute to the production of our next-generation vehicles.    Good luck to our graduates - we look forward to seeing the contributions they make to bringing our Factory of the Future vision to life! As the first partner of the Amos Bursary in the West Midlands, JLR is committed to helping young people from African and Caribbean heritage achieve their career goals. In the last year, we have donated £60,000 to the charity and provided mentorship for career development.    Last month, we hosted 30 Amos Bursary charity scholars, offering them valuable insights into the diverse opportunities available at JLR.    The students’ enthusiasm during their visit was inspiring, and their feedback encourages us to keep strengthening our outreach. We’ll continue working with our teams and employee-led networks to support and develop the next generation of talent.    Giving back to our communities and offering equitable opportunities to all is integral to our success. By empowering young talent, and letting them know what’s possible, we are shaping a stronger future for everyone.      #BlackHistoryMonth

Last week’s Global DE&I Summit truly left its mark. Dame Kelly Holmes OBE reminded us, "The colour of your soul is more important than the colour of your skin," whilst Amar Latif OBE inspired us to embrace positivity and make the most of life’s challenges. The keynote speeches and fireside chats have sparked powerful conversations across our business. Huge thanks to our colleagues, partners and suppliers for standing with us as we continue our journey to become an equitable, change-driven company.

Looking after the health and wellbeing of our people and the communities in which we operate is essential for us. That includes the young people who will become the leaders of tomorrow. In the UK, almost one third of children aged between 5 and 10 have less than one portion of vegetables per day. Yet it is recommended they eat 5 portions in order to be healthy, learn effectively, and to help reduce the risk of critical diseases, such as hypertension or type 2 diabetes. Through the ProVeg UK School Plates programme, JLR is supporting the provision of nutritionally balanced meals in primary and secondary schools, with the aim of benefitting 500,000 children. By providing tasty plant-based options in canteens and promoting good eating habits, we can help the next generation get the nourishment they need to succeed. #EngageforGood
