    Recently I was asked for some advice.....If I was new into a Rev Ops Leadership role how would I gain quickest understanding of what is working and what isn't in the revenue org? My first answer was to understand Productivity (revenue per rep over a unit of time) across the organisation...and here is why: - I can see which teams, regions, products etc are performing the best and which are the worst - I can make sure ramp times are correct and realistic - I can check that quotas are correct Basically it gives a health check on the sales org.

    The power of productivity in Rev Ops..........Ever been in a situation where you can't tell if your EMEA team is outperforming North America, or if APAC is lagging behind? That was me at Raytheon|Websense (just Websense at the time).   Here's the thing - we were using quota attainment to measure performance. Sounds logical, right? Wrong. Our quota methodologies were constantly changing, making it impossible to benchmark sales teams against each other accurately...It was apples to oranges, or even maybe apples to elephants!!   That's when it hit me - we needed something more stable. Enter sales productivity.   This shift was a game-changer: 👉 We could finally measure performance consistently across regions 👉 Investing in headcount became a data-driven decision 👉 Predicting returns on new hires? Much more accurate 👉 We could spot which markets were really killing it   Suddenly, we weren't just guessing. We were making smart calls about where to expand and how to allocate resources. How else has understanding true productivity impacted your business?
