Marking World Suicide Prevention Day 2024 Male construction workers are 75% more likely to die by suicide than men in the general population, according to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention. At Mercury Work Safe, Home Safe is more than just a saying, it’s our duty -and we prioritise providing various dedicated tools for our employees to support their mental health. A key resource we are proud to offer to all Mercury staff, supply chain partners and their direct family members is our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). The service offers an independent, 100% confidential, complimentary counselling service to anyone requiring help, giving them space to find support without judgment. It's crucial that our industry continues to spread awareness about suicide prevention-by encouraging understanding, open conversations and sharing experiences.  Mercury remains committed to supporting the mental wellbeing of our people and ensuring that they go home safe and well to their families every day.
