“I’m currently working on one of Mercury’s data centre projects in Frankfurt as a Quantity Surveyor. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked with and learned from some of the best in the industry.” Ivana Coghlan made a move from her native Croatia to Germany and joined Mercury in an administrative role, and has been supported to realise her potential, progressing to her current position. “I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers and in my role, I enjoy the data analysis element.” “I compile and interpret different reports to track our commercial progress and collaborate with our teams on the ground to improve their process in delivering for the client.” She continues, “many of us have been with Mercury here in Frankfurt for a long time. Our team is far more diverse than it was seven years ago, and I really enjoyed getting to learn from new cultures.” As Mercury’s operations continue to expand across Europe, Ivana would encourage those “who are ready to become the best at what they do” to consider applying for a role with Mercury, “if you want to make progression in a fast paced but very supportive environment.” Read more about life at Mercury below. https://lnkd.in/eVP3nTDc

“If you have the drive to learn and want to make solid career progression then Mercury is a fantastic company to consider applying for”- Harry Whisker Harry joined the Mercury team as a Junior Planner last year. In his role he works with several different teams on a leading-edge data centre project, from the project managers to the construction teams. He also reviews subcontractor performance and liaises with clients around project scheduling. “I enjoy getting to work with lots of different groups on the project and helping our team ensure that works will be completed to the highest standards efficiently and meeting the agreed timeline.” “I’ve learned a lot getting to see how the different pieces of the puzzle that is a complex project come together.” “There are lots of technical skills that are helpful when working with new software, but in my opinion underrated skills for a planner are communication and problem solving.” He notes that while “moving to mainland Europe from the U.K. was initially a challenge” the support that he received from his colleagues “made the adjustment a lot easier. It meant that I could focus on the job and know that practical things like finding accommodation was already taken care of.” However, it’s not just the practical supports that Harry notes- “we’re a very close-knit team and everyone is super understanding and always there for each other. We often get together for team building events. This translates on a day-to-day basis and makes our results stronger.” Read more about life at Mercury below. https://lnkd.in/eVP3nTDc
