Grand Canal has seen some impressive changes recently with the completion of the façade install at The Sidings for our client Bartra. The architectural fin install is nearing completion with both Tower Cranes due to be removed imminently. 🌍🌳 Celebrate World Environment Day🌳🌍   This World Environment Day, Collen is proud to spotlight their forest in Killerry, Co. Sligo. Located along the Sligo Way and next to the Lake Isle of Innisfree, this forest is an example of Collen's commitment to environmental preservation and sustainability. Collen is collaborating with VEON Ltd to further enhance and develop this resource. Recently, Collen’s Executive Management Team participated in tree planting followed by a tour of the forest.    Here’s how our Killerry forest is making a difference:   ✨Biodiversity: The 50-acre forest is home to diverse flora and fauna, our forest supports a vibrant ecosystem, offering a sanctuary for wildlife and plants. The forests hosts 23 different types of birds, red squirrels and even pine marten, one of the rarest species in Ireland.    🌿Carbon: By the end of 2023, Killerry forest was storing 3,526 tonnes of carbon, which is as much carbon as 842 cars produce in a year. Through additionalities made in the past decade by Collen the forest is currently sequestering an additional 240 tonnes of carbon per year.    Join us in honouring our environment today and every day. A massive congratulations to all those who were recognised in Collen’s inaugural Long Service awards ceremony. The event was held in Collen’s headquarters River House and was attended by Neil Collen (Chairman), Kara Stuart (CEO) and members of the Executive Committee. It was a fantastic opportunity to recognise and celebrate the loyalty and dedication shown by our long-standing staff and to reminisce over some of our great success stories. A day of great celebration, showcasing Collen’s proud history, with staff receiving awards for up to 40 years’ plus service with the company. Congratulations to our project team at CPH07! This fantastic group completed Collen's Supervising and Building Safer Sites workshop series in April. These workshops were delivered by our team of Creating Safer Sites facilitators; Clíodhna Mc Loughlin, Terry Packard, Greg O'Brien, Wayne Gallagher, Rodrigo Reinert and Flavio Negrin. The objective of Collen's Creating Safer Sites Programme is to improve communication across all levels of the business and instil leadership practices to ensure a positive and proactive safety culture on our sites.
