We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Luke Hanlon CDir as the new Managing Director of SuperValu and Centra, two of Ireland’s leading grocery retail and convenience brands. Having led SuperValu and Centra on an interim basis since March, Luke transitions from his role as Musgrave’s Chief Supply Chain Officer.   A Musgrave veteran of 21 years, Luke held senior operational roles with Kerry Group before joining the company in 2003 as an Operations Manager.   Newly appointed Managing Director of SuperValu and Centra Luke Hanlon CDir said: “It is a great source of pride for me to lead SuperValu and Centra, two iconic Irish brands at what is an exciting time for the retail sector. 📣 Specialisterne Ireland Neurodiversity at Work Project We are pleased to partner with Specialisterne Ireland, through their Neurodiversity at Work (NEW) programme, to recruit and develop neurodivergent talent. We are committed to creating a more inclusive organisation that supports disability inclusion. Specialisterne Ireland have helped us recruit new colleagues into our business and we will continue to work with them to provide more opportunities to neurodiverse people. Last month, Specialisterne Ireland hosted an event at the Gresham Hotel Dublin to introduce the “Neurodiversity at Work (NEW)” project in association with the Erasmus+ Project. The event celebrated neurodiversity in the workplace, highlighting the benefits of hiring individuals with diverse neurological conditions and their positive contributions to both organisations and teams. The event featured an informative and engaging panel discussion with Rosie Bissett, CEO, Dyslexia Ireland, Nick Rankin, SAP Employee, Sinéad O’Brien, NEW Project Lead and our colleague Tony Harris, Export Operations Manager, Musgrave. 🌈 SuperValu Pride Breakfast & Ireland AM 🌈   As we continue to drive our 'GAA ‘Community Includes Everyone’ campaign, now in its fourth year and with its supporting #WearWithPride campaign now into its second year, it’s full steam ahead as we re-ignite the conversations and demonstrate our support around the importance of supporting everyone in our communities and allowing people to be who they are.   Last week really highlighted the role and weight of SuperValu’s #WearWithPride campaign with our brand ambassadors Hannah Looney and David Gough being interviewed by Tommy Bowe and Muireann O’Connell on Ireland AM talking about the importance of supporting the LGBT+ community, the SuperValu ‘Community Includes Everyone’ campaign and the significance of SuperValu rainbow laces. The store now features an in-store bakery, grab-and-go deli options, and expanded ranges like Taste of Local, Donnybrook Fair, and The Happy Pear. Eco-friendly products, Italian specialties, and a Taste of Asia range are also available. Shoppers can also look forward to SuperValu's Signature Tastes range and expanded own brand range, providing even more high-quality and value-for-money options. 🌈 #WEARWITHPRIDE 2024 🌈 SuperValu launches competition to win a host of iconic shoes donated by the stars to drive support and awareness of the rainbow laces available in store now nationwide.   A host of well-heeled stars have offered up a special pair of their own shoes, which will be up for grabs throughout June and beyond. This initiative aims to raise awareness of the significance of the rainbow laces, available for purchase now in SuperValu stores nationwide for €2, with proceeds supporting Belong To LGBTQ+ Youth Ireland.   GAA icons David Clifford, Hannah Looney and Padraig O’Hora as well as actor Sarah Jessica Parker and GAA referee David Gough have all donated a pair of shoes for this very special competition. David Clifford and Hannah Looney both donated boots from their 2023 seasons, which featured in some of the biggest fixtures in the GAA calendar last year. GAA referee David Gough also kindly donated a pair his boots that have also had their fair share of time on some of the most renowned GAA grounds across the country, including the SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
