The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Safety Campaign has been a great success again this year, with all our sites taking part in toolbox talks and activities including vital CPR training. At our Hotel site in #Westport, Co. #Mayo further focus was on some of our critical risks.   Safe Use of MEWP operations – a Safety Award Voucher was awarded to KD Group Cathal Donnellan.   Emergency Preparedness and Response, focusing on emergencies in the workplace, fire hazards and First Aid / CPR. Thank you to Westport's Order of Malta Ireland member Brian Moran who attended site and supported facilitation on Emergency Response and the importance of First Aid/CPR. Huge thank you to representatives from McDonnell Piling, RED Engineering, Moran Electrical and Stewart Construction for volunteering to provide demonstrations on CPR A Safety Award Voucher was awarded to Moran Electrical Ed O’ Malley   Mental Health Awareness and the importance of supporting each other across our projects. - A Safety Award Voucher was awarded to Riain Group Thomas Roche Thank you to all who participated in this very worthwhile campaign. Afterwards Peter Doyle (Stewart Construction Project Manager), presented Brendan Hayes of Casey Meaney with a One4All Voucher recognising his contribution to Health & Safety on site over the past few months and Cillian presented Colm O Connell of Jovin Projects with a One4All Voucher in recognition of his positive contribution toward Health & Safety on site. The Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Safety Campaign starts today Monday 14th October and runs until Friday 25th October 2024. The theme for 2024 is 'Focus on Critical Risk'. The CIF are encouraging construction contractors to get involved by identifying key risks and developing initiatives to build awareness on these risks and how to mitigate them.
