We were delighted to attend Calasanctius College Oranmore last week to discuss #careers and #opportunities within the #construction sector to Transition Year and Leaving Cert students. There were some interesting topics discussed on the day including todays changes in the construction industry, modern methods of construction and the subsequent availability of new and innovative roles as a result, apprenticeships and skilled trades, the various career and educational pathways to different job functions, and the ever increasing importance of attracting more females to the industry. It was brilliant to see the level of enthusiasm and interest shown from the students in attendance, and a big thanks to Rachel Davey and the teaching staff and coordinators involved at Calasanctius College who helped facilitate a great day!
