We’re delighted to introduce the new Male Allyship Award as part of our Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards 2024! 🌟 This accolade highlights the crucial role that men play in supporting their colleagues through menopause. As our Founder & CEO, Loretta Dignam, says, “Menopause cannot only be a women's issue; we need to engage men too.” This award celebrates those men who have gone above and beyond in championing menopause awareness and empowerment within the workplace. The Menopause Workplace Excellence Awards are hosted in partnership with Great Place to Work® Ireland. This event is sponsored by Irish Life Health and Astellas Pharma. Our charity partner for 2024 is Women's Aid Ireland. Less than a week to go and we couldn’t be more excited!

Our CEO & Founder, Loretta Dignam, was outside the Dáil today while Budget 2025 was being announced. This is a historic day for women everywhere with the announcement of free HRT in Ireland! This has been a cause near and dear to Loretta’s heart for years, and we are absolutely delighted with Stephen Donnelly’s historic commitment. Well done to everyone who championed this cause! We did it! Stephen Donnelly Holly Cairns TD

🎉🎉 This just in!! Health Minister Stephen Donnelly will roll-out free hormone replace therapy (HRT) products as part of Budget 2025. ✅ The measure could save women prescribed HRT between €360 and €840 a year. (This is based on women paying between €30 and €70 per month). ✅ The measure is part of a €35 million women’s healthcare package to be announced as part of the budget. ✅ The prescription-based medicine is used by some women to relieve symptoms of menopause, and funding will be contingent on prescriptions. ✅ The new scheme to be introduced in January 2025 and will see the state fund the cost to patients of medicines/patches/devices (such as coils) etc. ✅ Improving menopause care has been a priority since the publication of the first Women’s Health Action Plan and significant progress has been made to improve supports for women experiencing menopause symptoms both the primary and specialist care level. ✅ A Quick Reference Guide for Menopause launched to support GPs and Practice Nurses in diagnostics and treatment at the primary care level. ✅ Opened 6 specialist menopause clinics for women who have complex experiences of menopause. Under the new Women’s Health Action Plan, we are extending the opening hours of these clinics to provide care to more women. ✅ National Menopause Awareness campaign was launched in October 2022. This was a direct response to the demand from Irish women for greater knowledge and understanding of menopause as well as better access to accurate information and supports. ✅ Removed VAT from HRT products in Budget 2023 to assist with the cost. Well done to all who helped and supported the cause!!!! We did it!

Loretta attended an Event this month hosted by Standard Life in the Vienna Woods Hotel in Cork - focused on Women & Pensions. It was hosted by Sonya Lennon. “Women tend to put pensions on the long finger, well down the list of their priorities, after the children’s new trainers, family activities etc. Women instead need to focus on themselves and their pensions to ensure they have enough to cover their financial needs in later life.” - Loretta Here is the 🔗 to the podcast series, Loretta is in episode 2. 👏 https://lnkd.in/eF9sS4kN
