About us
Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) is the statutory provider of education and training opportunities for people throughout county Tipperary. Tipperary ETB was established on 1 July 2013 under the Education and Training Boards Act 2013, as an amalgamation of North and South Tipperary VECs. Tipperary ETB has a corporate structure which is made up of a democratically appointed Board and a management (Executive) team. Our Administrative Head Office is in Nenagh and our Sub Office is in Clonmel. Tipperary ETB is the Patron for one Community National School (CNS), one high-support school, one all-Irish post-primary (secondary) school, 10 post-primary schools, one specialist Post-Leaving Certificate (PLC) college, and four PLC colleges attached to its post-primary schools in Tipperary. Tipperary ETB also manages dedicated Further Education & Training (FET) centres across Tipperary, including the state-of-the-art training facility at Archerstown, Thurles, as well as the delivery of Youthreach, Lifelong Learning and a wide range of education services for people of almost any age.

The College of the Future project is a collaboration between Tipperary ETB and Technological University of the Shannon, which will develop a state-of-the-art education campus at Kickham Barracks, facilitating the full range of Clonmel-based courses, and providing opportunities for progression into Higher Education. This was the third of five workshops that Tipperary ETB is hosting across our FET (Further Education and Training) centres to support Universal Design in teaching and learning. Born with a visual impairment, learning is difficult for Mohamad. However, with the help of the NCBI Vision Ireland, the new name for NCBI and Tipperary ETB, he has been able to use a 'Lucky Book' to help him in the classroom.
