Service Head/Service Manager - Job Description: Service Manager/Service Head  Position Title: Service Manager/Service Head (State Level) Reporting To: Regional Service Head/National Service Head Location: Tamil Nadu & Kerala   Role Overview The Service Manager/State Service Head will oversee the end-to-end service operations within the assigned state/region, ensuring efficient and effective after-sales service of our product range includes ACs, TVs, Washing Machines, etc. The role involves managing service networks, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving service excellence aligned with organizational goals.   Key Responsibilities 1. Service Operations Management Plan, implement, and monitor service strategies to deliver superior after-sales support. Ensure timely installation, maintenance, and repair of products through the service network. Develop and manage service schedules to optimize technician efficiency and minimize downtime. 2. Team Leadership and Development Lead, train, and motivate a team of service engineers, technicians, and support staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify skill gaps for further training. Foster a customer-centric culture within the service team. 3. Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management Ensure resolution of customer complaints and grievances within defined timelines. 4. Service Network Expansion and Vendor Management Identify, appoint, and manage third-party service providers (ASPs) and technicians. 5. Spare Parts and Inventory Management Plan and manage spare parts inventory to avoid shortages and delays. 6. Compliance and Reporting 7. Cost Control and Budgeting 8. Service Excellence and Innovation    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT): Measure of customer happiness with service quality. First-Time Fix Rate: Percentage of issues resolved on the first service visit. Turnaround Time (TAT): Time taken for installations, repairs, or complaint resolution. Service Revenue: Revenue generated from AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), repairs, and spare parts sales. Service Coverage: Number of active service centers/technicians in the assigned region.   Qualifications and Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 10–15+ years of experience in after-sales service, with at least 5 years in a managerial role. Prior experience in the consumer durable industry is highly desirable. Additional Requirements Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned state/region. Regulatory & Compliance: Skills and Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the consumer durables or electronics industry. Product Expertise: Strong knowledge of consumer durable products, market trends, and competitive landscape. Experience managing complex, multi-phase product development processes. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels. Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of the interactive panel market, including knowledge of channel partners, system integrators, and their role in projects such as boardroom setups, corporate infrastructure, and smart classroom development. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline. Corporate Experience: Experience working with global leaders in the interactive technology domain, such as Samsung, Panasonic, LG, or equivalent, is highly desirable. Familiarity with the operational dynamics of the education, corporate, and healthcare sectors.
