In alarmo, we are focusing to work with children to empower them to become climate leaders to influence the community to involve in climate action. Our earth is getting warmer and warmer and the seasons are becoming unpredictable. We are passing through such an alarming stage where we need to act to save ourselves from the severe effects of climate change. The idea behind our organization alarmo is to give an alarm to the people about environmental issues and wake them up to the action phase. In Wayanad, we are working with the children from a tribal belt near Periya and engaging them in activities that help in connect with nature. We wanted to show our kids the film of our year-long adventure in alarmo. We intended to use visual learning as a very significant tool for our kids. To purchase a portable projector for alarmo so that kids may watch documentaries related to our work, we are seeking funding. #crowdfunding #education #project #environmentalsustainability #climateaction #documentary Link :https://lnkd.in/g3KkyXyC

Our flagship project, Urava, involves working with kids by setting up camps over the summer. Urava was launched in April of 2022. In August, we started a new batch of urava with 11 kids from the Erumanathoor community. The initial Aruvi phase lasted for three days, and the initial batch joined the next batch. The camp's main focuses were establishing bonds with the kids and breaking the ice through games. Friends from Sustera Amjad, Agnus, Kavya, Shyam, Ambareesh, Adish, Basil, Anjana, Akhila, Ardra, and Nihal joined our team on the second day of camp, making it extra special. They helped us plan the activities. The major activity they planned was creating artwork with leaf impressions and having a conversation about reproductive organs and menstrual hygiene. The session was led by Kavya, who was an expert on discussing menstrual hygiene. Adish organized a treasure hunt that required a lot of observational talent as the day's finale. Swimming was used to cap off the camp's final day.
