CWAS, in collaboration with the Gandhidham Chambers of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and Gandhidham Municipal Council, organized a two-day event, the “Jal Sanrakshan Mela,” (Water Conservation Fair) on the 20th & 21st of July, 2024, at GCCI building in Gandhidham. The event aligns closely with the newly launched national initiative "Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari" by H’ble Prime Minister, Shri. Highlights of our 15th Annual Team Meet! This year’s 3-day event in Bhuj and Gandhidham featured engaging guest lectures, strategic planning, reflections a field visit, and team-building activities. A huge thank you to Vishwanathan from Biome Environmental Trust and the ACT team for their insightful sessions, including the field visit in Bhuj. We also explored Anjar and Gandhidham, where CWAS has implemented pilot initiatives for urban flooding and rainwater harvesting/groundwater recharge in school clusters. CWAS, in partnership Panchayat Samiti, Palghar, conducted a training on water quality testing using Field Test Kits (FTK) for the Jalsurakshaks and the Self Help Women Groups. The training was attended by 84 participants from 45 Gram Panchayats.
