In this new era, we will be able to predict the structures of various biomolecules with almost 100% accuracy in a short period of time thanks to AlphaFold. Their work in Protein Structure prediction serves as a base tool to develop novel proteins or enzymes capable of performing impactful activities which can directly address pressing Global Health Challenges as one of the examples. This is truly exemplary of how Tech concepts such as Machine Learning/ AI can revolutionize fields like Molecular Biology. AlphaFold's work impacts areas such as Personalized Medicine, Drug Discovery, Therapeutics, and Diagnostics. It expands our understanding of diseases at a Molecular and Structural level which is extremely beneficial in diagnostics and the development of targeted treatments. Such advancements have been useful and inspiring to startups and research labs. Here at D-NOME Pvt Ltd, we use the knowledge obtained from this cutting-edge tool, combined with protein engineering, to synthesize smart proteins.
