Last week I had the opportunity to attend a highly insightful #RoundTableConference on Last Mile Logistics, hosted by #Zomato. The discussions underscored the importance of conducting comprehensive on-the-ground research to better understand the barriers and solutions within the delivery ecosystem. We emphasized how Even Cargo for nearly a decade, has been working to address these challenges by creating opportunities for women in logistics, tackling safety concerns, and breaking the perception that delivery roles are male-dominated. Digital mobilization and content-driven marketing were highlighted as crucial tools for raising awareness and driving inclusion. I’ve been deeply disturbed by the tragic incident involving the EY employee, and it has made me reflect on the importance of workplace culture. As someone working in People Operations, I’ve always felt that creating a safe, inclusive space is the foundation of any organization’s success. I’d like to share a few ways we’re addressing challenges at Even Cargo, in the hope that our experiences might be helpful to others. 1. At Even Cargo, our mission has always been about creating inclusive and equitable opportunities for women in the gig economy—empowering them through training, employment, and breaking gender barriers in logistics and delivery services.
