The webinar is designed to familiarize early adopters from the industry with VEDAS API Centre and offer insights on leveraging the platform for their geospatial solution development efforts. The geospatial platform developed by SAC, ISRO - Indian Space Research Organization offers a distinctive opportunity for companies engaged in developing applications and value-added services using remote sensing data. IN-SPACe is pleased to announce the next edition of the IN-SPACe Industry Connect (IIC), a platform designed to facilitate regular interaction with Non-Government Entities (NGEs) in the space sector. This forum serves as a medium for announcements, discussions, and the exchange of ideas aimed at fostering collaboration between industry stakeholders and IN-SPACe. The previous edition, held in December 2024, saw active participation from industry representatives, with insightful discussions on key topics. Continuing this engagement, the upcoming session will provide updates on IN-SPACe initiatives, policies, and opportunities while also incorporating feedback from NGEs on relevant agenda points. Additionally, subject matter experts will share insights on topics of mutual interest. Technology Adoption Fund: India’s opening of the space sector to private players has been aggravated by one motive – to grow our space sector both technologically as well as commercially while reducing our dependence on imports for various space activities. Today, IN-SPACe has taken a significant step in this regard. I’m delighted to announce the launch of the Technology Adoption Fund (TAF) for enabling industry to transform early stage R&D or innovations into viable commercial outputs. The fund will offer financial support of up to 60% of the project cost for startups and MSMEs, and 40% for larger industries, with a maximum funding cap of ₹25 Crores per project. With such an expenditure module, the fund will help innovators effectively navigate the road from early-stage development and commercialization. This support will enable companies to refine their technologies, enhance production processes, and meet market demands both within India and abroad, while significantly reduce the financial risk with Government funding. Our focus is on enabling practical solutions that can be quickly integrated into the space ecosystem. With Vikshit Bharat taking charge and India’s projections for a USD 44 billion space economy by 2033, TAF is one such initiative that would help India reduce import-dependence and promote domestic research and development.
