Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its first-ever Space Accelerator Program in India and globally! Out of 180 applicants, 24 visionary startups were selected based on their innovative tech ideas, industry impact, and cloud tech potential. Representing cities across India, these startups will undergo a 14-week program with specialized AWS training and mentorship, supported by T-Hub and Minfy. They'll explore leveraging space data, AI, machine learning, and more. Amazon Web Services (AWS) has launched its first-ever space accelerator program in India, the AWS Space Accelerator: India, targeting space technology startups. This 14-week program aims to provide technical expertise, AWS training, and mentorship: 1️⃣ Background: This initiative follows an #MoU signed in 2023 between #AWS, ISRO, and IN-SPACe to support Indian space startups. 2️⃣ Leadership: Clint Crosier (Maj Gen, Air Force/Space Force Retired), at AWS, emphasized the unique growth opportunities in India's space sector, highlighting strong government support and exceptional local talent. 3️⃣ Incentives: The 24 shortlisted startups will receive up to $100,000 in AWS credits and support for building and scaling their solutions. 4️⃣ Support: The program is supported by T-Hub, an innovation hub, and Minfy, an AWS Premier Partner. 5️⃣ Selection Criteria: Startups were evaluated based on innovation, product-market fit, sustainability, AWS technology application, and team capability. 6️⃣ Cohort Details: The 2024 cohort includes startups from various space segments like spacecraft propulsion, orbital vehicles, satellite imagery, and space tourism. 7️⃣ Learning Opportunities: Participants will learn to leverage space data and build solutions using AWS technologies in #GenerativeAI, #MachineLearning, and #DataAnalytics.
