📍 It's volunteer spotlight time! Meet Divyansh Goel, he's a volunteer with Open Cloud Compute, and is helping make data centers more accessible and sustainable. "I was inspired to volunteer at People+ai because I believe in the power of a DPI (Digital Public Infrastructure) approach to AI, as seen in initiatives like Open Cloud Compute. The idea of a democratized, sovereign cloud that can reduce compute costs is truly exciting, especially considering India's growing demand for compute. This vision is what motivates me to work with People+ai. My experience so far has been eye-opening. I'm amazed by the sheer number and diversity of micro data centre operators in India. The innovative ways small infrastructure players are making the data centre business work is truly remarkable, even if it doesn't always make headlines. What I enjoy most about the People+ai community is the diverse experiences everyone brings to the discussions. It's inspiring to see people motivated to solve India-specific problems using frontier technology. Looking to the future, I believe the biggest opportunity for AI lies in the use of agentic workflows to automate tasks. The fact that anyone can now spell out a web-based task and have it done in hours is unlocking new possibilities that weren't feasible before. This development has the potential to revolutionize how we approach work and problem-solving across various sectors."
