What's common in these two photos? Textbooks with gender neutral messages! With the objective to inculcate gender neutrality in the minds of children, the kerala government introduced textbooks, with pictorial representation of family members cutting across genders involved in cooking and other activities. The textbooks of primary classes have a balanced approch in pictorial representations and roles assigned within a family. Azim Premji Foundation #genderequality #education

The Sikkim High Court registry has introduced a menstrual leave policy for female employees. The notification stated, “Women employees in the High Court Registry may avail menstrual leave of 2-3 days in a month, provided they approach the Medical Officer attached to the High Court first and obtain the latter’s recommendation for such leave. The Supreme Court of India declined to hear a petition seeking menstrual leave as it is in the domain of policy and not under the judicial authority. Worldwide, many countries such as Taiwan, South korea, Zambia, Japan have their menstrual leave policy. In India there is no national menstruation leave policy. However states of karala and bihar and many private organisations stepped in to provide menstrual leave to their female workforce. Source: Bar and Bench #menstrualleave #womenatwork

A man constantly lied to his fellow villagers, shouting, "Tiger has come, run!" He did this so often that the villagers became frustrated and stopped believing him. One day, a real tiger appeared, and when the man shouted for help, the villagers ignored his cries. This analogy is relevant today, as we witness the misuse of legal provisions intended to protect women's interests. Some are filing false cases, and this trend is not only disheartening but also detrimental to society. Such actions undermine genuine victims and erode trust in the legal system, ultimately affecting us all. [1] A recent case in jaipur where a woman, Bhavna Sharma filed 16 false FIR of rape, molestation against different people inclu. The arrest was made after an advocate filed a case against her in the district court accusing her of filing false rape charges against him to extort money. She is booked under sec 388, sec 504 and sec 3(1)(r) of the Schedule caste and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 As she intentionally insulted with intent to humiliate a member of Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe. [2] A district court in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly sentenced a woman to 4 years and 5 months in jail for filing a false case of rape against a man, along with a fine of ₹5.88 lakh for robbing the man of earning opportunities during the time he was in jail as an undertrial. What do you think can be the solution Should the parliament come with gender neutral laws? Will the implementation of stricter penalties for those found guilty of filing false cases act as a deterrent? It is high time we educate the public about the consequences of filing false cases and the importance of legal provisions. As a responsible citizens, it is our duty to make efforts for a society where justice is upheld, and legal protections are used with integrity and respect. What is your opinion on this Tell us in the comment section Adv. Sumit Jaiswal Deepika Bhardwaj #justice #falserape
