South Africa attended the Chief Science Advisors’ Roundtable (CSAR) 2024 edition at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris on 6 September. Deliberations were around “fostering open science, bridging knowledge assymetry and building science advice capacity globally.” It was good to meet with representatives of the Indian Government who initiated CSAR during India’s G20 Presidency, as well as all other distinguished participants. Big ups to the organisers of CSAR 2024, India and UNESCO for a successful event. We are looking forward to the 2025 edition under the South African G20 Presidency. #G20 🇮🇳 🇧🇷 🇿🇦 #CSAR2024 #Openscienceforall #scienceadviceforabettetworld
