Writing about Swarup Dhanavade has been one of the most fulfilling experiences for me. His story is truly inspiring and highlights the incredible journey of a young boy from Mumbai. The story has been published as ‘CSR Story of the Month’ in our Fortnightly In-House E-Journal (E-VARTA’s 389th Edition).
Swaroop hails from Mumbai and is currently pursuing Mining Engineering after a shift from Aerospace Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
What makes Swaroop's journey particularly remarkable is the context from which he comes. Hailing from a modest background, he has faced and overcome numerous challenges to reach where he is today.
Cracking one of the toughest exams in the world is no small feat, and Swaroop's success speaks volumes about his dedication and hardwork.
As an employee of NTPC Limited, I take great pride in being part of an organisation that is not only leading the Power Sector, but is also making significant impact through its CSR initiatives towards community empowerment.
It is incredibly fulfilling to see the company’s partnerships with various NGOs who are making real difference on ground.
I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to Aakash Gupte from the Seva Sahayog Foundation. His support has been incredibly valuable in helping me connect with Swaroop and providing essential insights for this article.
NTPC's CSR initiatives, in collaboration with Seva Sahayog Foundation, have played a crucial role in empowering students like Swaroop. In the fiscal year 2023-24 alone, they have supported 92 students in Maharashtra, providing them with opportunities to study at top institutions across India. Their efforts highlight the importance of community support in helping talented young people achieve their dreams.
Swaroop is not only a dedicated student but also a compassionate individual. He takes on multiple roles with grace—being a counselor to his juniors, a big brother, and a responsible son.
During our recent conversations, I came to know that his sister is also an extraordinary achiever and is currently , preparing for JEE.
It's truly been a blessing to get to know him and to witness his growth firsthand. I have no doubt that Swaroop will continue to achieve great things in his life and would make a significant impact in his field.
May he continue to rise and reach even greater heights in life. Wishing him all the best for the future!!
