Defying Gravity for Aatmanirbhar Bharat. On March 19th, 2025, our Chief of Staff, Nithyashree S., joined the Tech for Viksit Bharat roundtable, hosted by CII Yi Bengaluru and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India at Jagdish College of Management. She spoke about the role of startups in making India self-reliant in defense technology and how The ePlane Company is pushing the boundaries of aerial mobility with drones and eVTOLs, literally defying gravity to build the future of advanced aviation. The discussion also addressed key challenges defense startups face today: funding gaps, export restrictions, and long procurement cycles and the steps needed to overcome them. This roundtable was part of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD), a nationwide initiative fostering real-world policy discussions and solutions for Viksit Bharat 2047. Bringing together entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders, it was a step toward shaping India’s future in defense and aerospace innovation. We were honored to welcome Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw ji, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & IT, to The ePlane Company’s prototyping facility this past Saturday. During his visit, our team had the privilege of showcasing our work in drone-based inspection of overhead equipment (OHE) parameters for Indian Railways: a breakthrough initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency and safety in railway infrastructure monitoring. The demonstration featured our Atva drone, developed by Amber Wings, our subsidiary specializing in next-generation drone solutions for imaging, payload, and logistics. Beyond drones, we also discussed the future of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and how our e200X eVTOL is poised to redefine intercity and intracity air travel.
