  • We are thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive response to our newly launched service, “Insta Maids / Insta Help”, in Mumbai. Currently, the service is in its pilot phase, and we look forward to expanding it to other cities soon. At Urban Company, we are deeply committed to the well-being of our service partners. In this new service offering, partners earn ₹150-180 per hour, along with free health insurance and on-the-job life & accidental insurance. Partners working for 132 hours per month (22 days × 6 hours per day) are assured earnings of at least ₹20,000 per month. For our customers, the introductory pricing of ₹49 per hour is a limited-time offer. As the service scales, prices will adjust to ensure both sustainable earnings for our partners and viable economics for our business. At Urban Company, we firmly believe in the dignity of labor, and this principle will guide us as we expand this service—creating a true win-win for both our customers and service partners.

    Building Urban Company

Full disclosure: this film has an absurd story But also: does it really? Should your water purifier really need constant repair and care every few months? Frequent filter changes. Annoying AMC renewal calls just a few months after purchase. This isn’t the case with any other appliance in your home – just water purifiers. After years of servicing homes across the country, one thing became painfully clear: the consumer was often the last thought in this category. Big water companies have been selling machines with filters that fail every few months, pushing you into an endless cycle of replacements and charges. It’s inefficient, frustrating, and frankly, it’s not how things should be. One year ago, we launched a challenge to this status quo with Native, a range of devices that are built to last with the needs of real families in mind. It’s a promise to return to a state that’s Native to us all – the idea that products should serve us, not the other way around. Native water purifiers are engineered to last, with superior filters that need no service for 2 full years, backed by a self-cleaning system that works in the background everyday, to keep your water pure: it's a water purifier that does what water purifiers were meant to do – without the drama. Absurdly simple, isn’t it? cc Tilak Dugar Tarun Menon Rahul Teotia Amit Das Aayush Agarwal Rishabhdhwaj Singh Urban Company

  • Resham W.'s journey: Growing, Leading, and Innovating with Data at Urban Company "I still remember the excitement and curiosity of starting my journey as a Senior Data Scientist five years ago. I was eager to explore the boundaries of Data Science and Machine Learning, and it felt like the perfect challenge to create impactful solutions in a fast-moving environment. One of my earliest milestones was developing the company’s first end-to-end ML pipeline and deploying multiple Computer Vision models. It was a hands-on experience that taught me the importance of teamwork, clear communication, and taking ownership of the product lifecycle—from technical implementation to aligning with stakeholder expectations. As I transitioned into the role of Staff Data Scientist, I had the opportunity to design and implement a robust Data Science Platform. Leading a team of incredibly talented professionals, we tackled diverse business challenges using ML, DS, and AI. This phase sharpened not only my technical expertise but also my leadership skills and ability to build bridges across departments. I championed a data-driven mindset within the team, emphasizing the need to rely on evidence-based decision-making and encouraging critical thinking over assumptions. Now, as Principal Data Scientist, I lead a team dedicated to solving complex problems using cutting-edge solutions. From leveraging LLMs for cost optimization and improving customer experiences to mitigating risks, every project brings new dimensions to my learning. The journey has been about embracing challenges, staying curious, and evolving with the rapidly advancing field of data science. The growth I've experienced has been deeply fulfilling, and the collaboration and mentorship I've received from colleagues have been invaluable. Each step has reinforced my passion for the work I do, and I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of what data science can achieve." Join us in celebrating her journey and if this is inspiring enough, here's your chance to hop on: https://lnkd.in/gy2ZQP-J #CareerGrowth #Transformation #InsideUC

  • So yes: this is an absurd story. But also: is it really? Should a water purifier really need so much TLC? It takes an absurd plot to land the absurdity of the water purifier industry: this short film takes you through the all-too-familiar pain of frequent water purifier breakdowns, but with a twist. Native water purifiers are engineered to last, with superior filters designed to need no service for 2 full years, backed by a self-cleaning system that works in the background everyday, to keep your water pure. So that you have access to pure water, minus the drama.
