GKN Aerospace Bengaluru and Vellore Institute of Technology has signed MoU to establish a joint lab for skill development. GKN and VIT will invest together in the facility to establish the lab at VIT Vellore campus where GKN employees, VIT faculty and students can be trained in aerospace domain. The facility is intended to provide hands-on experience along with knowledge development.

This International Women’s Day, we did something truly special at GKN Aerospace Bangalore! We had the privilege of hosting talented women artisans from Hosabelaku, a social enterprise that empowers underprivileged women by helping them develop sustainable livelihoods. Our office transformed into a creative hub as these inspiring women conducted hands-on workshops, teaching our employees traditional crafts and skills. From intricate hand embroidery to eco-friendly handicrafts, the session was not just about learning a new skill—it was about sharing stories, fostering connections, and celebrating the strength and resilience of women from all walks of life. This was followed by a group lunch where all the women of our office spent quality time with each other indulging in delicious food and sharing their personal experiences. The experience was a reminder that empowerment is a two-way street—while we learned from these artisans, we also supported their craft and recognized the value they bring to their communities. A huge thank you to the Hosabelaku artisans for sharing their talents with us, and to our team for embracing this opportunity with enthusiasm. 🌟 Empowering the Next Generation: Our CSR Initiative at GKN Aerospace Bangalore 🌟 Recently, our team had the incredible opportunity to visit a local government school as part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This heart-warming experience which was organised by the GAI HR team goes a step towards social responsibility and engagement in our communities. During our visit, we engaged with the students through a brief talk on the importance of ambition in life. We encouraged them to dream big, set goals, and pursue their passions, no matter the challenges they might face. It was truly inspiring to see their eagerness to learn and the insightful questions they asked. In addition to the talk, we organized two fun and interactive activities: 1.    Quiz Session: We hosted a small quiz to test the students' knowledge and creativity. Their enthusiasm and engagement were fantastic to witness! 2.    Paper Airplane Competition: In a twist on creativity and fun, we held a paper airplane competition. The students crafted their own paper planes and competed to see whose would fly the farthest. This activity sparked their creativity and brought out their competitive spirit in a friendly and exciting way. The day was filled with laughter, learning, and a sense of accomplishment for both our team and the students.
