📣 There is also the ALFRED / EU-SMR-LFR project among the lead-cooled fast reactor proposals selected by the European Commission as part of the European Industrial Alliance on Small Modular Reactors project. 📍The Dedisa power plant, built by Ansaldo Energia in consortium with FATA in Port Elizabeth (South Africa), consists of two AE 94.2 gas turbines along with generators and auxiliary systems, with a total output of 342 MW. Our company also provided the civil works and commissioning of the plants, as part of a successful project that led to the construction of a second plant in Avon, in the Durban area.  The initiative was promoted by the South African Government's Department of Energy to enhance the responsiveness of the South African power grid to peak load demands. ⚙️Last April Ansaldo Energia successfully performed and completed a Major Outage project at this Power Plant, concluded within the MO schedule, including extra activities of rotor unstacking. #AnsaldoEnergia #powerplant #gasturbine #energytransition #fitfortransition
