Chi siamo
We are Cartacarbone: Gregorio Adezati and Francesco Marconcini, a duo of creative photographers. Working in editorial and advertising since 2014, we blend artisanal care and visual exploration to create sophisticated and original images. Our research and approach draw from the diverse worlds of art, cinema, and music. Our personal projects focus on the storytelling of fantastic worlds where portrayed people become fictional characters, and objects become symbols. We love working with natural elements and poor materials to stage surreal scenarios that allow us to play on set literally. Cartacarbone means carbon paper. We like the concept of a thin layer hidden between two pieces of paper, allowing information to pass through from one to the other. We chose an Italian compound word since we are two friends who share ideas that result in a common output. A word made of two elements – paper and carbon – recalling the visual contrast between light and darkness. selected clients : Borbonese, Comune di Milano, Damiani, Emporio Armani, EssilorLuxottica, L’Oreal, Louis Vuitton, Moleskine Foundation, Moncler, Off-White, Stéphane Parmentier, Pierre Mantoux, Pomellato, Recarlo, Sara Ricciardi, Safilo, Sportmax, Starhotels, Venini, Teatro Alla Scala selected magazines : AD France, AD Italia, Artribune, Corriere della Sera, Duel Paris, Elle Decor Italia, The Good Life, GQ China, Grazia, Hunger Magazine, Marie Claire Maison Italia, Milk Decoration, L’Officiel Paris, L’Officiel Italia, L’Officiel Hommes Italia, Platform, Vogue Brasil, Vogue Italia, Wallpaper

BOTANICAL THRILLER 🌿🌙 a project by Cartacarbone 24 pages / broadsheet newspaper / 33x47.5 cm / recycled paper available at Parco Studio e Gallery (Milan, Italy) and De Pietri Artphilein Foundation (Lugano, Switzerland) In a contemporary dark forest, we conceived our personal tribute to the tradition of still life with a botanical theme. Botanical Thriller is a photographic project that aims to emphasize the life drive and enigmatic essence of plant organisms, transforming the inert extras that serve as a backdrop for human activities into protagonists at the center of a dreamlike thriller. Surprised by a light in the darkness, the plant world appears as a tangle of clues, signals, and indecipherable languages, evidence of intriguing and relentless activity. The cold light of a flashlight, a reporter's flash, car headlights, or the glow of a streetlamp suddenly reveal colors and shapes hidden until a moment before. We observe plants in their uncanny beauty through a gaze charged with tension and mystery. Attraverso uno sguardo carico di tensione e mistero, osserviamo le piante nella loro inquietante bellezza. creative direction and photography Cartacarbone design Parco Studio e Gallery, Emanuele Bonetti, Loredana Bontempi texts Cartacarbone, Giulia Capodieci, Filomena Maria Fittipaldi printed by Tipografia Mistero many thanks to De Pietri Artphilein Foundation, Diana Dorizzi, Valentina Guidi Ottobri, Ugo La Pietra, Sara Leghissa, Stéphane Parmentier
