Chi siamo
Friend of the Earth è uno schema di certificazione internazionale per l'agricoltura e l'allevamento sostenibili. È stato sviluppato sulla base delle linee guida SAFA (Sustainability Assessment of Food and Agriculture systems) dettate dalla FAO (Organizzazione delle Nazioni Unite per l'alimentazione e l'agricoltura) e i suoi principi si basano sulla salvaguardia e la tutela dell’intero ecosistema entro il quale le aziende certificate svolgono la loro attività. Friend of the Earth è un progetto nato nel 2013 su iniziativa di Paolo Bray, fondatore e direttore della World Sustainability Organization, organizzazione con sede in Italia e operativa in tutto il mondo, il cui obiettivo è la conservazione degli ecosistemi. La certificazione Friend of the Earth viene rilasciata per quei prodotti che rispettano una rigida catena di custodia. Tutti i prodotti e la loro origine sono controllati secondo i severi criteri di sostenibilità ambientale e responsabilità sociale stabiliti da Friend of the Earth.
