📢Join our partners next week on Friday, October 11, for an introductory workshop organized for companies and authorized persons to carry out energy audits with the aim of informing and preparing for the upcoming energy efficiency obligations. 💡The workshop will also provide guidelines for the procedure for exercising the right to a reduction in the fee for #OIE and high-efficiency cogeneration in accordance with the Regulation on the criteria for payment of the reduced fee for renewable energy sources and high-efficiency cogeneration, as well as guidelines for the retention of rights, which is based on the implementation of the energy audit and the measures proposed by it. Companies will also be presented with the system of energy efficiency obligations and the possibility of trading energy savings, which can be an additional incentive for the implementation of energy efficiency improvement measures. ☝️The workshop is organized by the #EIHP, Hrvatska udruga poslodavaca - Croatian Employers` Association (#HUP) and the Ministry of Economy (#MINGO) in the premises of EIHP – a #nZEB training center (and online), and is organized as part of LEAPto11 and ENSMOV Plus projects, co-financed by #EU LIFE Programme, implemented in Croatia by the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar. ❗Applications are open until October 10, 2024! 👉Application form: https://lnkd.in/dFVZeVZG

PARTNER ACTIVITY SPOTLIGHT 💡 🔦 ⚡ The Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar (EIHP 🇭🇷) is passionate about strategic planning in the energy sector, and shares their insights around the world, most recently taking part in an initiative promoting #energyefficiency and #energyconservation in Bangladesh 🇧🇩 ! #Bangladesh is a fast-growing young country with a history of political turmoil. Its path towards sustainable energy reveals a lot about the risks and rewards that come with mitigating the climate crisis. Vedran Krstulović, leading researcher at the EIHP, describes some key takeaways from the South Asian experience for the LEAPto11 audience: 🌩 efforts to promote energy efficiency mainly consider financial incentives; ⛈ financing offered through projects (specialized financing, like from the Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL)) is more favourable than the commercial loans from banks, where the interest rate is very high; ⚡the energy auditing framework is quite undeveloped, and the planned project activities in Bangladesh are mostly considering conventional equipment purchases and limited #efficiency measures – so the evaluation of such projects is overly simplified;  🌩industry is the most complex field to apply efficiency measures (due to its diversity), making a comprehensive audit framework difficult; ⛈ first-hand experiences, like those from LEAP4SME and eventually LEAPto11, are appreciated by local stakeholders. Sharing knowledge about energy efficiency is important, as teamwork makes the dream work! 🇪🇺 🤝 🇧🇩

However, the real impact is seen when these recommendations are implemented effectively. Adopting Energy Management Systems (EnMS) can streamline this process, allowing for the optimisation of energy use.
