❝I believe my day-to-day work makes a difference - however big or small it might be - on the lives of the most vulnerable. This gives me the motivation to strive for excellence every day.❞ says Kibre Feseha, one of the 200 WFP Engineers stationed in more than 40 countries 💙 Since joining WFP in 2020, Kibre has successfully managed significant projects, including a prefabricated steel warehouse and an office complex, enhancing operations. Currently, she is leading an innovative infrastructure project under the Climate Smart Agriculture program, focused on building food resilience. ⭐ What she loves most about her work? Helping those in need by building resilience, adapting to climate change, promoting good nutrition, and improving food systems. Kibre’s day-to-day responsibilities include supervising construction projects, ensuring quality standards, and proactively monitoring risks—all with the goal of making a lasting impact. We’re proud to have dedicated individuals like Kibre on our team, committed to driving positive change! 💪✨

🌍 The climate crisis is driving millions into hunger, and WFP is on the frontlines supporting vulnerable communities. As we face increased climate shocks, the humanitarian system is stretched thin. In 2023, WFP supported nearly 18 million people with climate solutions and helped them manage risks. To combat hunger, we must urgently accelerate climate protection in the world's most vulnerable areas. Let’s take action together!

🌿 Ever heard of mangroves? Let's take a trip with WFP's Monica Leon to the magnificent mangrove ecosystem in #Colombia, where WFP is helping restore hundreds of hectares to protect the area’s biodiversity and the livelihoods of the communities that depend on it. Mangroves are vital ecosystems that thrive in salty environments, playing a crucial role in combating climate change by storing more carbon than forests. They protect coastlines and communities from erosion, storms, and other climate impacts. WFP's work isn't just about immediate support; it's about building resilience and safeguarding these invaluable ecosystems that sustain us. 🌍✨

Last week in #Lebanon WFP Deputy Chief Carl Skau witnessed WFP in Lebanon's swift emergency response to the current crisis. WFP is ready to expand support and reach up to 1 million people. We urge the global community to mobilize resources for this critical humanitarian response.
