Congrats to Sara Cavallero for the "Francesco Carassa" Award! 🎉 We are very proud to have such emerging #talents in our lab!
Yesterday I had the honor of receiving the prestigious "Francesco Carassa" Award during the annual meeting of "Gruppo Telecomunicazioni e Tecnologie dell'Informazione" (GTTI) held in Pisa from 4 to 6 September 2024. I presented the poster "Coexistence of Pull and Push Communication in Wireless Access for IoT Devices" which was awarded as the best work in the sector of Networks. This poster reports some of the main results I achieved during my visiting PhD period at Aalborg Universitet. For this reason, I would like to thank Petar Popovski, Fabio Saggese, Junya Shiraishi, Shashi Raj Pandey and last, but not least, my supervisor from the Alma Mater Studiorum - Università di Bologna, Chiara Buratti and my co-supervisor Roberto Verdone.

Last week, we held the #WiLabGathering2024. 🏔 We spent four days in the Italian Alps, sharing our latest research, hiking, and biking. Most importantly, we #recharged for the year ahead! These days were not only successful for #teambuilding but also reaffirmed the core value of our Lab: its members! The last day of the gathering concluded with the awarding of the MVP prize, congratulation to professor Andrea Giorgetti for the winning! A huge thank you to everyone who participated, both online and offline! It was #remarkable and #inspiring! 🌿

#WiLabGathering2024 Yesterday we carried out the second day of the gathering, as predicted it was full of discussions and inspiration! Between the interventions of the day, we had the pleasure of hosting a session conducted by Ericsson, about #6G vision, Ambient #IoT and #5G network’ architecture! We also had the opportunity to hear the latest research of WiLab Members Leonardo Spampinato, Andrea Pumilia and Muhammad Usman Khan! Is there a perfect way to end a day filled with seminars? Certainly, by going for a bike ride! 🚴
