[White Papers] Claw pole alternators are used commonly as alternators for automobiles - due to the unique 3D structure and complicated flow of magnetic flux, the 3D electromagnetic field simulation with the finite element method (FEM) is effective as an evaluation method of output power prediction. Mesh models for analysis are generally created by automatically generating mesh composed of tetrahedral elements for geometry created with CAD.This paper looks at tetrahedral/pentahedral mixed mesh and aims to generate effective mesh to reduce calculation time. We compared calculation times and accuracy when analysis is run with conventional tetrahedral mesh, and investigated the effects of division size in the axis direction of pentahedral elements for mixed mesh. #JMAG #Generator #LargeScaleProcessing #Extruded #mesh

Intended gaps. The air-gap between the stator and the rotor is the most obvious example. B. Joints that lie across the main flux-path, potentially impeding the flux. C. [JMAG Users Conference Proceedings] CYBERNET SYSTEMS CO., LTD. Two themes will be presented on Optimus, which supports optimal design. The first is the introduction of a solution that uses Optimus as a platform and JMAG-Ansys to carry out electromagnetic field and structural analysis. The performance evaluation of EV motors requires consideration of multiple phenomena such as electromagnetic, thermal, vibration and noise, and connecting the gold-standard tools in each of these fields will promote development efficiency. [Leaflet] Many motors with hairpin coils using rectangular wires are adopted to improve slot fill factor and to reduce motor size by minimizing coil ends, and estimating current distribution and AC copper loss at high speeds is important. Axial magnetic flux at core end causes in-plane eddy current losses which will increase with higher speeds.
