When women have only two-thirds of the legal rights that men do, the consequences extend far beyond inequality, affecting the planet as a whole. Women are at the forefront of conservation efforts, yet limited #LandRights, restricted access to resources and legal discrimination prevent them from leading and protecting biodiversity effectively. Studies show that when women have #EqualRights and leadership in conservation, #biodiversity thrives, communities are more resilient and sustainable solutions last longer. Protecting nature means protecting #WomensRights. Let’s work for a future where all environmental defenders – regardless of gender – can lead without barriers.
