📢 Successful Test with SPOT Robot at ArcelorMittal Gent! In collaboration with a colleague from ArcelorMittal Luxembourg, we conducted several tests with the SPOT robot to determine if it's suitable for repetitive and high-risk maintenance tasks. The goal was to evaluate whether SPOT can reduce certain safety risks for people and make maintenance more efficient. During the tests, we achieved the following: 🔥 Thermographic images were successfully taken of burners, electric motors, and connections, allowing us to check for emissions, smoke, and flames. 🔧 Mobility: SPOT demonstrated that it can navigate stairs and even use an elevator. 🎧 Sound recordings were made in the installation, with potential for automatic interpretation in the future, such as detecting a broken bearing. 💡 The green light at the cooling circuit was correctly detected. 🔍 SPOT effectively checked for gas leaks around the oven at manholes, seals, flanges, and valves. The results were promising, and we are excited about the possibilities this technology offers for the future of maintenance! 🤖 #robotics #Innovation #industrialautomation #technology #safetyfirst #AI #DigitalTransformation #tech #Innovation #Automation
