🚀 It’s the final day of the International Astronautical Federation’s IAC2024! A key highlight was the new Persistence Mission announcement in partnership with Mission Control, and supported by the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne. Combining the capabilities of our LEMUR 6 satellite and the #AI expertise from Mission Control, the mission aims to demonstrate how AI can advance on-orbit processing. Introducing the Persistence Mission: We’re teaming up with Mission Control to explore the power of AI in space. Today at IAC2024, Spire Global COO Theresa Condor joined Lisa Campbell, President of the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, and Ewan Reid, Founder and CEO of Mission Control, to introduce the mission. As part of this mission, we’ll build and operate the LEMUR 6, a 6U satellite with an optical payload, providing images of Earth for real-time analysis using Mission Control’s AI platform, SpacefarerAI™.
