BeMed's Business Club - Workshop in Tunisia 📍 Today, we celebrate the closing workshop of the pilot project “Towards a zero single-use plastic hotel” at La Badira, a member of Leading Hotels of the World. This workshop marks a key milestone in adapting the methodology in Tunisia, based on a methodology already proven in France. 💡 The project highlighted tangible benefits for the Tunisian hospitality sector, particularly in managing plastics in the back-office. In addition to improving operational efficiency, it demonstrated significant cost savings and a more circular approach to #waste management. 🌟 Spotlight on Success: DenizTemiz Derneği/ TURMEPA In 2019, BeMed supported TURMEPA's impactful project aimed at raising awareness about marine conservation. We are thrilled to share the results of this initiative: ✔️ The goal was to engage 21 schools and organize 3 coastal cleanups. ✔️ Thanks to the positive response from participants, TURMEPA was able to visit 29 schools, 8 more than initially planned, and organize 5 coastal cleanups. ✔️ The project engaged 7,293 people, far exceeding the initial target of 5,600! Although the onset of COVID-19 in March 2020 meant that in-person activities had to stop, TURMEPA quickly adapted by creating online educational content to continue #raisingawareness. 👏 A huge congratulations to TURMEPA for their flexibility and determination in the face of challenges, and for making a lasting impact on #plastic pollution. #Education #Spreadtheworld #plasticpollution
