MyCEB was proud to host the 30th International Conference on Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus from 23-25 October 2024 at Avante Hotel, Petaling Jaya. 🎤 The event featured YBhg. Datuk Dr. Muhammad Radzi Bin Abu Hassan; Director General of Health, Ministry of Health Malaysia, as the Guest of Honour, alongside our MyCEB representative, Miss Tan Mei Phing; Acting Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB. ✨ This significant conference, coinciding with World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day on October 25, aimed to raise awareness and improve the lives of individuals affected by these conditions. We welcomed 500 delegates, including 315 international attendees, who came together to share knowledge and best practices. 🤝 The engaging discussions, workshops, and sessions focused on human rights, prevention, and integrated care. 🌟 MyCEB proudly participated in the 'Program Madani Rakyat 2024 Sayangi Sabah,' where our booth welcomed notable VIPs, including YBhg. Dato' Shaharuddin bin Abu Sohot, Deputy Secretary General (Management) of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC), and YB Datuk Armizan bin Mohd. Ali, Minister of Domestic Trade and Living Costs of Malaysia, along with our Acting Chief Executive Officer, Tan Mei Phing. 📊 Minister Datuk Armizan highlighted that as of 10 a.m. on October 20, the program attracted an impressive 350,000 visitors, with numbers expected to rise as the event concluded. He emphasized the importance of public feedback to enhance government services and streamline operations under a one-stop center concept. 🤝 This initiative provided citizens easy access to over 200 government services and initiatives, including financial assistance, healthcare, education, and housing support, directly through various booths. It fostered awareness about government policies, sustainability efforts, and technological advancements, while also emphasizing education in STEM fields and offering vocational training and career guidance. The International Wound Infection Institute & 6th Global Wound Conference 2024 concluded on October 20th at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, marking a significant milestone as it came to Malaysia for the first time. The event brought together over 1,000 delegates, including 500 international experts, to exchange knowledge and best practices in managing wound infections. We were honored to host YBhg. MyCEB recently held its 62nd Board Meeting on 10 October 2024 at our office in Putrajaya, with the first meeting led by the newly appointed Chairman, YB Tuan Sivakumar A/L Varatharaju Naidu. The session focused on shaping strategies to further position Malaysia as a leading destination for international business events. Productive discussions and key decisions were made to enhance our operational efficiencies and strengthen our global presence. On the second day of IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi 2024, the competition heats up as athletes tackle the challenging course under the tropical sun. 🌴🌞 The event features outstanding performances, with Brazil's Fernando Toldi and Australia's Regan Hollioake emerging as the champions. Toldi triumphs in the professional men’s race, clocking an impressive 8:10:23, while Hollioake dominates the women’s race, crossing the finish line in 9:13:07. With its stunning landscapes and vibrant local culture, the event showcases Langkawi as a premier sports and tourism destination, promoting a healthy lifestyle and strengthening community engagement. Athletes push their limits through tropical vistas, traditional villages, and mangroves, culminating in a breathtaking finish on Cenang Beach. On 12 October, Langkawi welcomes over 2,000 participants, organisers, and spectators from around the globe to experience the ultimate triathlon challenge. Day 1 of IRONMAN 70.3 Langkawi 2024 kicked off with a celebration of community spirit and inclusivity. 🌴🏃♂️ The event featured exciting side competitions, including IRONKIDS Langkawi, where over 300 young athletes took on various age-group challenges. The Aquathlon brought out the competitive spirit in participants, with kids aged 7-10 and 11-15 tackling a 100m swim and a 1.8km run. The day also saw families and young runners embrace the Community Run, a 1.8km course designed for all. Children aged 0-6 ran alongside parents, while older kids showcased their determination independently, embodying the event’s commitment to inclusivity and shared experiences.
