We are thrilled to announce that OSK Group has been awarded the Best Sukuk – Conglomerate for our OSK Rated Bond at The Asset Triple A Islamic Finance Awards 2024. This award by The Asset - a renowned financial research publication - was a recognition of OSK bond successful Rated Bond Issuance in September 2023. The proposed Issuance was originally aimed at RM300 million. The final order book reached RM 2.01 billion from 28 accounts representing close to 7 times book cover. The eventual Issuance increased from the original target of RM300 million to RM500 million, covering a maturity period of 7 and 10 years. By integrating an established plant and its operations, we are not only boosting our production capacity but also accelerating our innovation capabilities. OSK Group announced its financial results for the first half of the year ended 30 June 2024 today, reporting a total revenue of RM736.4 million, showing a slight increase from RM730.6 million in the preceding year (1H2023). The pre-tax profit increased by 4%, reaching RM282.8 million compared to RM271.9 million in the same period last year. Our first-half results reflect the strength of our diversified business model and the success of our strategic initiatives. The steady growth in the Property, Hospitality and Financial Services Segments, alongside consistent performance in other areas, reaffirms our progress towards building solid, sustainable businesses across all our business verticals. This steady performance for the first half of the year sets a positive trajectory as we continue the momentum for the rest of 2024. Rooted in Nature: A Day of Green Action!   OSK Foundation organized an event at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) in Kepong. It has been fruitful effort in cultivating environmental stewardship and community engagement among OSKers including those who brought along their children for a green-themed family outing.   This initiative has deepened our knowledge and appreciation of forest conservation efforts with the insightful sharing from FRIM especially during the hands-on experience of eco-rooting activities and witnessing the rare natural scenery in a guided tour of the FRIM’s man-made tropical forestry.   “It was my first time joining an OSK Foundation event. I have enjoyed it very much! I will spend more time being involved in future events to give back to society,“ said Teo Ai Chinn, one of our OSKers volunteers. Ong Yee Suen added, “This was an informative event and a precious experience, being able to take part in the conservation efforts of FRIM, the world’s largest and oldest man-made forest.”   Big thanks to OSKers who have shed sweat and rolled up their sleeves to take a major step closer to nature.
