MEPManager (Data Center projects)


Responsibilities:

  • The entire project lifecycle, from concept design to construction and conclusion.
  • With design consultants and serve as the primary point of contact for interfacing with existing facilities.
  • The integration of MEP and CSA systems, including HVAC, fire protection, and other architectural requirements.
  • With internal departments, such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure project alignment with operational needs and regulatory requirements.
  • With procurement teams to source materials and equipment needed for the project.
  • relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors involved in the project, including negotiating contracts and resolving disputes.
  • quality control processes to ensure that construction work meets industry standards and internal quality requirements.
  • With internal IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure the secure integration of technology systems
  • Regular inspections and audits to monitor compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • The commissioning and validation process for the cleanroom facility, including coordinating with validation engineers and regulatory agencies.
  • Training and support to facility operations staff
  • Post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in future projects.
  • Assigned work packages and related contractors to ensure completion on time, under budget, and to required quality standards.
  • With the client to ensure all client requirements related to work packages are met, following company procedures.
  • All employees under your report to ensure efficient work completion.
  • In procurement/contract administration activities, including preparing technical specifications, reviewing submissions, negotiating contracts, and administering awarded contracts.
  • Review, and track cost movements for design change proposals/options to minimize financial and professional risks.
  • And certify progress claims, register and track them, including site inspections to verify work completion quantities.
  • Assess, negotiate, and report on variations.
  • Negotiate, and track final accounts for awarded contracts.
  • All documents for factual correctness and maintain quality standards.
  • With contractors, facility management, clients, and colleagues to develop and implement project management frameworks.
  • Quality management and risk assessment principles.
  • And attend meetings, providing project cost, procurement, and contract administration information.
  • And record all Health and Safety activities, meetings, and documents.
  • And recommend staff levels for accreditation purposes.
  • Work instructions as required.
  • And review variation orders based on change requirements.
  • Site inspections and verify work completion quantities.
  • Joint inspections with contractors prior to client handover, ensuring defects are rectified.
  • Dismantling, demobilization, and close-out activities are completed as scheduled, including reconciling invoices, receiving as-built drawings, and issuing completion certificates.


Requirements:

  • A minimum of 15 years in project & construction management.
  • 10 years as a Manager handling Data Center projects
  • Engineering background is required especially ELV, BMS and EMS systems management experience.
  • Knowledge of CSA required
  • Able to work unsupervised or with limited supervision to initiate and follow up with tasks without instruction.
  • An eye for detail, accuracy and attention to detail in all work and show initiative in developing new ideas.
  • To identify problems, formulate solutions and implement actions effectively.
  • Strong analytical, research and negotiation skills, strong contractual knowledge including reading contractual terminology.
  • Interpersonal skills, with the capacity to deal professionally and confidently with a diverse range of people at all levels.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to draft reports, tender documents, minutes, correspondences, procedures, processes and forms
  • Literacy in computer software, including the Microsoft Office range.
  • and ability to work with different areas of the business (event management, project management, procurement and contract administration).
  • With attendance and with delivering tasks on time.
  • Attitude and capacity to motivate others.
