  • Community Aid Connect Attends a 2-Day Workshop in Collaboration with the Kano State Education Sector Joint Steering Committee (KSESJSC) with other donor and implementating partners in Kaduna State Community Aid Connect participated in a 2-day workshop alongside the Kano State Education Sector Joint Steering Committee (KSESJSC) in Kaduna State. The workshop aimed to review and align Kano State’s education priorities with key strategic objectives while fostering collaboration for effective policy implementation. Objectives of the Workshop: ✅ Review Kano State’s current key education priorities (2025-2026) and align them with strategic objectives. ✅ Deliberate on the Kano Education Recovery Plan, 14-Point Education Reform Agenda, Federal Government DoTs Program, and future reform plans. ✅ Share insights on the Kano Education Strategic Plan (ESP), Mutual Accountability Framework, Curriculum Reform, and the SDG Roadmap 2025-2030. ✅ Agree on actionable steps to advance education reforms and implementation strategies. The session focused on strategies for the effective implementation of the program for the upcoming cohort. The event witnessed the participation of critical stakeholders, including: • The Honorable Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government, represented by the Permanent Secretary. • The Honorable Commissioner, Ministry of Education represented by the Director • Representatives from SUBEB. • Chairman, House Committee on Education, Kaduna State House of Assembly. • Royal Fathers from the Zazzau Emirate Council. • Director, Out-of-School Children, Kaduna State. • Representatives from the State Agency for Mass Education. • Religious Leaders, among others.   • Strengthening Impact of the Radio Schools: A 2-Day M&E Workshop for Year 3 Readiness On December 5-6, Community Aid Connect successfully held a 2-day Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) workshop to gear up for Year 3 of our program. This pivotal event brought together key stakeholders dedicated to improving education for out-of-school children across Northwest Nigeria where our Radio Schools are active in all 179 LGAs. 🤝 Participants Included all 7 State Mentors from northwest Nigeria, Chief Executives from the 7 NW State Agencies for Mass Education (SAMEs), M&E Experts and our Core Team 📋 The workshop focused on the Digital Literacy Program’s Radio Schools and outlined core components, KPIs, and the need for a robust MEL framework to ensure sustainable impact. Key areas discussed included generating data-driven insights for continuous improvement, developing enhanced capacity for independent MEL management, and evolving sustainable impact measurement tools. This collaborative effort has set the stage for more effective tracking and evaluation, ensuring that every child reached by our Radio Schools receives quality education and support.
