With a masters in work and organizational psychology and natural curiosity for the world, he is passionate about creating innovative and inclusive workspaces that make a real impact 👊.     The average person will spend 90,000 hours of their lifetime at work. 𝟵 𝟬 , 𝟬 𝟬 𝟬 !!! 😱 So while it's the official theme of #WorldMentalHealthDay2024 today, workplace mental health isn't just a marketing gimmick or trending topic. 🧠 It really is a critical priority for all of us, both as HR professionals and as human beings. 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 if you work in HR 👀...because did you know that People & Culture professionals suffer some of the 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 of 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻? 🚨 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀: 😬 𝟴𝟰% of HR leaders 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 (Sage) 😬 𝟭𝟰.𝟲% 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 - the highest surveyed (and almost 2x the lowest category) (LinkedIn) Ironic that despite the company's collective mental health being our unspoken KPI, we are often the first to drop. 💀 Because we care. And there are a LOT of responsibilities and human emotions for us to care about...𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆. 🚑 But to best help look after our teams and employees, we really do need to put on our own oxygen masks (or sequinned sparkles ✨🦄) first.
