Bloed, zweet en tranen – alles doen om jezelf klaar te stomen voor de kwalificatie van het FIRST World Championship in Houston. Dat is waar Team Rembrandts zich de afgelopen maanden mee bezig heeft gehouden. En eindelijk was het moment daar! Als team trokken zij de afgelopen weken met al hun kennis, expertise en enthousiasme door Amerika. Hier namen zij deel aan de Pinnacles en Ventura regional om een ticket voor het WK te bemachtigen. En met succes! Maar hier bleef het niet bij, want: 🚀 ook won het team de Engineering Inspiration Award. Een erkenning voor teams die een blijvende impact maken op STEM; 🚀  is het team nu officieel nummer #5 van de wereld, uit meer dan 3.700 teams wereldwijd; 🚀 en kregen zij als kers op de taart de hoogste erkenning toegereikt binnen FIRST in de vorm van de Impact Award. Met name deze laatste award laat zien dat Team Rembrandts niet alleen impact maakt op het veld, maar ook naast het veld. Zo zet het team zich al jarenlang in om de volgende generatie te inspireren op het gebied van technologie-educatie. Ze bouwen aan een community, maken technologie toegankelijk en laten jongeren zien wat er mogelijk is. Als hoofdsponsor zijn wij ontzettend trots op Team Rembrandts en kijken we nu al uit naar hun volgende uitdaging: het FIRST World Championship. Blood, sweat, and tears, giving it their all to prepare for the qualification of the FIRST World Championship in Houston. That’s what Team Rembrandts has been working on over the past months. And finally, the moment arrived! As a team, they traveled across the U.S. in recent weeks, bringing all their knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm. Competing at the Pinnacle and Ventura Regional, they competed for a ticket to the World Championship. And with success! But it didn’t stop there, because: 🚀 The team also won the Engineering Inspiration Award, recognizing teams that make a lasting impact on STEM; 🚀 Team Rembrandts is now officially ranked #5 in the world out of more than 3,700 teams worldwide; 🚀 And as the cherry on top, they received FIRST’s highest honor: the Impact Award. This final award is particularly special, as it proves that Team Rembrandts makes an impact not only on the field but also beyond it. 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐠 𝐛𝐢𝐣 𝐀𝐀𝐄, 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐩 𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐰𝐞𝐧! 🦾 De technische sector is van oudsher een mannenwereld, maar daar brengen we verandering in. Bij AAE zijn we trots dat 24% van onze collega’s vrouw is – we geloven dat diversiteit en inclusiviteit essentieel zijn voor succes en groei. Iedereen verdient een werkplek waar ze zich welkom en gewaardeerd voelen, ongeacht achtergrond, cultuur of gender. Ter gelegenheid van Internationale Vrouwendag openden we gisteravond een belangrijk gesprek: de impact van de vrouwelijke cyclus op werk. Met gastspreker Lena Rentschler doken we in dit vaak onbesproken onderwerp en stimuleerden we openheid en bewustwording. At AAE, we are proud that 24% of our colleagues are women— we believe that diversity and inclusion are essential for success and growth. In honor of International Women’s Day, we opened up an important conversation last night: the impact of the female cycle on work. With guest speaker Lena Rentschler, we explored this often unspoken topic, encouraging openness and awareness. 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐤𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐞 𝐨𝐩 𝐳’𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 🚀 We kennen het allemaal, een spreekbeurt. Voor de meeste leerlingen een spannend moment, want waar ga je in hemelsnaam over vertellen? Luc, zoon van één van onze AAE’ers wist het wel: AAE! Vanuit zijn passie voor lassen is Luc al een paar keer in contact gekomen met AAE. Zo heeft hij zelfs al een keer elektronisch mogen lassen tijdens één van onze workshops. Het lassen zelf, maar ook het verhaal achter AAE sloegen zo enorm aan op Luc dat hij heeft besloten zijn enthousiasme over te dragen op zijn klasgenoten middels een spreekbeurt. Ruim tien minuten waren Luc zijn medeleerlingen vol verbazing en enthousiasme aan het luisteren naar zijn verhaal. Uiteindelijk heeft hij daarom zijn spreekbeurt ook met een dikke voldoende weten af te ronden. Wij vinden het ontzettend gaaf dat we jongeren op deze manier kunnen inspireren om het verhaal van AAE te vertalen richting leeftijdsgenoten. Daarnaast dragen we op deze manier weer op een toffe manier bij aan de ontwikkeling van hun eigen (presentatie) vaardigheden. 💚 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 🚀 We all know the feeling, a presentation. For most students, it’s a nerve-wracking moment: what on earth should you talk about this time? Luc, the son of one of our colleagues, had no doubt: AAE! With a passion for welding, Luc had already come into contact with AAE several times. He even had the opportunity to try electronic welding during one of our workshops. Both the welding itself and the story behind AAE fascinated him so much that he decided to share his enthusiasm with his classmates through a presentation. For over ten minutes, Luc had his classmates listening in excitement. And in the end, he successfully completed his presentation. We think it’s amazing that we can inspire young people in this way, helping them share the story of AAE with their peers. 𝐙𝐢𝐣𝐧 𝐰𝐞 𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐥?....... 𝐍𝐨𝐠 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐭! 🔮 Verwarde blikken in onze fabriek afgelopen week. Een van de sloop geredde en opgeknapte caravan stond ineens midden in de hal. De uitnodigende gebaren om vooral eens een kijkje in de caravan te nemen kwamen daarbij van enthousiaste collega's en de altijd joviale Marcel Stevens.  Het doel? Iedereen in alle rust laten ervaren hoe een vriendschap met de toekomst eruit kan zien. Elke dag wat minder slecht en wat meer goed is wat ons drijft. En om die ambitie in woord en beeld kracht bij te zetten en bespreekbaar te maken rollen we een nieuwe campagne uit:  ‘𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞’ 🤝 Een oproep aan onszelf en iedereen om ons heen om de toekomst te zien als een bondgenoot waarmee we samen optrekken en om er vooral samen het beste van te maken! “Leuk, zo'n slogan, en nu?” We hoorden het vaak. We konden alleen maar antwoorden: Nu, nu steken we onze handen uit de mouwen en gaan we iets doen! Als afsluiter van deze interne lancering hebben afgelopen vrijdag meer dan 70 AAE’ers en hun kinderen bomen geplant in het voedselbos dat vorm krijgt aan Kokmeeuwenweg in Heusden. Waarom? Omdat we er nog niet zijn, nog lang niet! Maar één ding weten we zeker: de toekomst, die komt, en wij doen er alles aan om in vriendschap met haar samen op te trekken. 🌳 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐭?....... 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞! 🔮 There were some puzzled looks in our factory last week. One of the salvaged and refurbished caravans suddenly appeared in the middle of the hall. Encouraging gestures to step inside and take a look came from enthusiastic colleagues and the ever-jovial Marcel Stevens. Our goal? To let everyone experience, in peace, what friendship with the future could look like. Every day, a little less bad and a little more good, that's what drives us. And to reinforce and make this ambition both visible and discussable, we are rolling out a new campaign: ‘𝐋𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐛𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞’ 🤝 A call to ourselves and everyone around us to see the future as an ally we move forward with, to make the best of it, together! “Nice slogan, but now what?” We heard it often. We could only answer: Now, now we roll up our sleeves and take action! To conclude this internal launch, more than 70 AAE colleagues and their children planted trees in the food forest taking shape at the Kokmeeuwenweg in Heusden. Why? Because we are not there yet, not even close! But one thing we know for sure: the future is coming, and we are doing everything we can to walk alongside it in friendship. 🌳
