ABB E-mobility and Fastned announced today that Fastned will deploy ABB E-mobility’s A400 All-in-One charger in the Netherlands. The A400 All-in-One charger is an example of ABB E-mobility and Fastned’s shared mission to provide customers with the best possible charging experience. Two A400 chargers have been installed at Fastned’s largest charging location in the Netherlands, Den Ruygen Hoek-West, on the A4 highway. Electrifying heavy duty trucking is a key step toward a more sustainable transport industry. Earlier this month, the @Rhode Island Public Transit Authority cut the ribbon on ABB E-mobility 450kW overhead pantograph chargers that will help power the electric buses traveling Rhode Island’s first fully electric public route, the R-Line. Four pantographs will be deployed and are part of Rhode Island’s first electric bus in-line charging facility. Electrifying the R-line is converting 20 percent of RIPTA passenger trips to zero emissions. Every year nearly 15% of new buses being incorporated are Electric! ⚡️ According to the total cost per km, operating a diesel bus doubles the cost of an electric vehicle. ⚡️Charging Infraestructure like our DCWB is an overall pick for this market, due to low cost of ownership and high reliability.
